The department of Radiology is well equipped for diagnostic work as well as therapeutic interventional procedures.  Specialist  Dr Deepak Alfred Seek an appoinment   ULTRASOUND Being an indispensable, widely used diagnostic modality, the department. is well equipped with five ULTRASOUND units including the High Definition Imager & Color Doppler, Neck, Abdominal, Peripheral Vessel Doppler and Transcranial Doppler. Transvaginal Scans, Guided Biopsies, Catheter Placements and bed- side scans are performed apart from routine abdominal, obstetric & soft tissue imaging.   NUCLEAR MEDICINE Apart from performing routine planar scans using the state-of-the-art GAMMA CAMERA, Spect of the Brain, bone, liver and Gated Spect of the myocardium are performed.  The centre is approved by BARC to administer large therapeutic doses of I 131, Sr 89, I 131 MIBG for cancer patients who are admitted in specifically designed rooms as per Atomic Energy specifications.   CT SCAN The department is well equipped with a state of art Spiral (Helical) CT Scanner and Toshiba X vision. Spiral studies of the Chest, Abdomen, Neck, Brain and Peripheral parts are being carried out routinely. CT Angiography and 3D dimensional study of the circle of willis, carotids, aorta and its branches, Portal trunk and Pheripheral arteries. CT Guided interventional procedures such as Aspiration, (FNAC) are also performed.   CATH LAB The Cath lab is equipped with Digital Substraction Angiography (DSA) unit by GE Medical Systems. Diagnostic angiograms of the aorta and its branches, cerebral, carotid, Renal. Celiac, superior mesentric and pheripheral limb arteries are performed here. Therapeautic interventional vascular procedures, such as Renal angio, Pheripheral angioplasty, Carotid angioplasty and stenting are done. Therapautic non vascular interventions such as Percutaneous transhepatic Biliary Drainage stenting and Percutaneous Nephrostomies etc., are also performed.
